Programme

The overall aim of this general MBA programme is to provide people with transferable professional skills and problem-solving capabilities, backed up by academic expertise in a broad spectrum of business-related subjects, so that they can operate and perform in an environment of constant change and demanding expectations.

Case studies, problem solving, guest lectures, and group studies are some of the teaching methods that will help you to complete this MBA with a global perspective on business.

On completion of the programme, students are awarded a University of Bedfordshire MBA degree qualification, which enables graduates to apply and be selected for a doctorate in business administration (DBA).

Job description and job opportunities

The focus is primarily to enable students to critically analyse and evaluate various issues in business and management, in order to enhance strategic decision making.

As this is a post-graduate course, the student’s current work-place/ organisation and position should be seen as having a major input into the learning process. The content of the programme is regularly reviewed and adapted to changing circumstances – to ensure that students are always ready for new challenges.

The MBA programme builds on the foundations of previous academic studies as well as relevant business management experience. It consists of eight modules which are completed during four semesters.

In addition to the eight modules, there will be a non-credit bearing induction at the beginning of the course at the University in England, as well as two major projects which take the place of a thesis, viz. the Leadership Project (Year 1) and the Integrated Management Project (Year 2).

Completed MBA application form
Proof of at least two years management experience
Personal admission interview
Curriculum vitae (CV) with a letter of motivation
Completion of an assessment test (English and business analysis/ problem solving)
Provide two letters of reference from previous employers or education institutions or similar independent referees

If you do not have an academic qualification, you may be considered for the MBA, providing you meet the “sur dossier” requirements.

The University of Bedfordshire
